Is this for me?

PLATFORM is open to all to enjoy an evening of creative expression and to offer supportive feedback to those presenting their work. Young people aged under-16 must be supervised by an adult.

Info

This July, PLATFORM returns with a special South Asian Heritage Month edition, celebrating the creativity, culture and lived experiences of South Asian communities across Luton.

Designed as a space for experimentation and connection, PLATFORM invites local artists to share developing ideas, test new work and collaborate through live performance and visual art.

PLATFORM showcases a range of artistic expressions, which include music, spoken word, dance, film, fashion, painting and other creative disciplines — all inspired by the diversity and energy of Luton’s creative community.

More than just a showcase, PLATFORM gives emerging creatives the chance to build confidence, meet collaborators and present work in a welcoming, community-focused environment. Audiences can expect fresh talent, honest storytelling and a rare insight into art as it evolves in real time.

Join us for an evening of culture, conversation, creativity and celebration. Sign up here to attend for free.

To celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, we especially encourage applications from South Asian artists living, working or studying in Luton.

Interested in performing or sharing your work at PLATFORM? Visit our opportunities page for upcoming artist call-outs and events.

What is a scratch night?

A scratch night invites artists to present works-in-progress, to gain feedback and insight from a live audience. Performances are typically unpolished and are in the early stages of conception.

Will there be refreshments?

There will be light snacks and drinks available.

I want to present my work-in-progress at PLATFORM. How do I apply?

Please visit our Opportunities page, where we will advertise the call-out to local artists. Please note that for the event in July, we are prioritising applications from artists of South Asian heritage who live, work and/or study in Luton.
