Is this for me?
PLATFORM is open to all to enjoy an evening of creative expression and to offer supportive feedback to those presenting their work. Young people aged under-16 must be supervised by an adult.
Info
PLATFORM is more than just a performance opportunity – it’s a welcoming and lively space for local Lutonian creatives to present works-in-progress and test out ideas with a live audience.
After the success of our first PLATFORM event in July, we are excited to present another evening of works in progress.
To celebrate Black History Month, we are prioritising applications from Black artists resident in Luton.
Whether it’s live music, poetry, bold sketches, digital art or sculptural experiments, this is a night of creativity in motion. All art forms are welcome.
Each event offers emerging artists the opportunity to develop their work in collaboration with peers and audience members who can offer insight and feedback.
For the audience, it’s an intimate look into the artistic process — vibrant, versatile and deeply human. It’s a place for the community to support Luton’s art scene and feel inspired.
Come to share. Come to support. Come to be moved.
This is creativity in real time — and you’re invited.
Are you also an artist or creative practitioner? Are you interested in having a ‘platform’ to share your work? Please visit out our opportunities page to check for regular call outs for upcoming events. We’d love to hear from you!
To mark Black History Month, we are prioritising applications from Black artists who live, work and/or study in Luton for PLATFORM this October.
Applicants will be shortlisted for the showcase evening.
If you would like to discuss your application, need support with applying, or have any questions, please email: [email protected]
Check back in October to see which artists will be sharing their work at PLATFORM on Thursday 30 October!
