A giant wicker woman arrives in our town, having travelled across the world, gathering stories wherever she goes. Join her as she explores Luton town centre, accompanied by a younger woman and the beautiful bird of Freedom.
You can join the procession at any point, as it moves along Bute Street through to Guildford Street starting at 6.45pm. First stop at the junction of Bridge Street /
Manchester Street / Gordon Street for a stunning performance from the large puppets. Continue along the procession to the Town Hall for a bespoke performance by Shifa Choudhury. Follow the puppets up Upper George Street for the Masks ‘Switch On’ then continue down Alma Street returning to St George's Square for the Grand Finale featuring a participatory dance routine PLUS a unique dance choreographed and performed by Jean Abreu
Come and experience the community of Luton and see, how together we RISE!
Presented by Revoluton Arts with support from Global Streets Network and funding from Arts Council England. This is a free outdoor arts event, you can join the procession at different points along the route, and take part in the mass dance finale.
