The Revoluton Associates programme provides opportunities for local creatives to develop their practice and build connections with new local audiences through projects that have a long-lasting legacy.

We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for up to three new commission opportunities for Luton-based artists, creative practitioners, and/or producers.

Supported by a Revoluton Arts Engagement Producer, Revoluton Associates will co-deliver creative projects that are relevant to the lives of local residents. They will work with community partners to reach a minimum of 60 local people, particularly those who may not typically engage in arts and culture, or those with less access to creative opportunities. Each project will also include Creative Assemblies forums to share and build ideas for the creative commission, attended by a minimum of 100 local people.

The Associates may deliver online and/or in-person content, with delivery taking place between September 2025 – February 2026.

In this round, we are inviting applications in response to the following briefs (attached):

• Revoluton Associate: Bury Park
• Revoluton Associate: Farley Hill
• Revoluton Associate: Marsh Farm
• Revoluton Associate: Leagrave
• Revoluton Associate: Open Luton

We anticipate making up to three awards in this round.

Applicants may apply against one brief only.

Indicative Timeline: 

11 August 2025 – Deadline for applications

27 August 2025  – Panel Interviews at Marsh House

September 2025 – Appointment, Induction and Project Planning

September 2025 – January 2026 – Engagement & Co-Creation

February 2026 – Showcases & Evaluation

• A statement explaining your idea for a creative project (max 2 sides of A4) and
• A budget outlining how you would deliver the creative project within £5000.
